Accuracy of a solar watch?
How accurate is a watch that works on solar power?
I know that battery/quartz watches are very precise, wheras atutomatic watches (especially the cheaper ones < 60$) are not very accurate, sometimes even 15 seconds per day inaccurate. I want to buy a solar-powered watch (about $150) , are these watches very accurate?
The source of power does not determine the accuracy. It is the precision of the compents that are used to measure time with in the watch. Cheap watch = cheap parts = not accurate. Opposite case with expensive, well known brand of watch.
